Charloft. Sunday. RP. Streetcorner advice booth.
22:19:00, March 28th, 2009

John Henry Holliday, DDS
John is earnest and pleased with the request. He enjoys talking with people and this will give him an excuse, perhaps, to search within them for that spark of soul he values. His booth is whitewashed and there is a hook at one side for hats. He has a flask and cups ready and has laid his 'pocket dental office' at the side, just in case there is a need for his services. The counter is green felt, with a cloth in the centre of patterned muted brown silk. The sign above reads 'Doctor John Holliday Very Respectfully Offers Advice and Emergency Minor Dental Procedures. Reasonable Rates.' While he waits for customers, he practices Patience with his cards, the movements of his fingers deft and precise.

Advice given for reasonable rates. Please ask, as you wish.

Fanny Fae: dignified
Fanny walks up to the corner stand and smiles at the gentleman. "How would you approach someone whom you have long respected admired and wish to get to know better?"

John stands politely and procures a nearby chair for the lady. "Good day, Ma'am. Why, I would use a direct approach. Perhaps a letter introducing yourself, or if you have friends in common, perhaps they would introduce you and you might present it in person. I would not suggest too effusive a communication of admiration but perhaps a mention of common interests."

He smiles.

Fanny Fae: in the shadow of a smile
*smiling* Very good advice indeed, Sir. Alright then, Hello, Mr. Holliday. My name is Frances McKay. I do believe we have a friend in common, Deputy Marshal Wyatt Earp.

"A pleasure to meet you, Miss McKay, and that is certainly high recommendation indeed. I naturally hold Mr. Earp in the highest possible esteem. Dr. John Holliday, at your service." He bows a little, politely.

Fanny Fae: diamond necklace
*Frances smiles, and inclines her head slightly rather than giving Doc a curtsey. For her, the gesture is entirely appropriate.*

It is a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Holliday. I have heard so very much about you from Wyatt, there is no mistaking that the two of you must be very good friends. Your witticisms and advice are what he speaks of the most and I thought I owed it to myself to come see you directly.

John Henry Holliday, DDS: glenwood springs
John shifts his feet. Wyatt, as far as he knew, had thought him far from merry, his humour running in a sardonic way, and not before ladies. Though he suspects flattery, he is predisposed to be pleased and assumes Wyatt had spoken well of him. He smiles. "Why thank you very much. Have you come then for advice? I should be happy to oblige you."
